Rita Redberg, M.D.

Cardiologist, Professor of Medicine, University of California San Francisco

Rita is a cardiologist, Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, and Core Faculty at Philip R Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies. She is the Chief Editor of JAMA Internal Medicine and has spearheaded the journal’s new focus on health care reform.

Dr. Redberg is a member of the Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, which advises Congress on Medicare payment issues. She is on multiple technology assessment boards, including the Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Advisory Panel and the California Technology Assessment Forum, as well as the Institute of Clinical and Economic Review Advisory Board.
