Architect Joan Saba, FAIA is a change-maker in the field of healthcare design and an expert on trends shaping the future of delivery and experience of care. Saba was among the first to outline the business case for healing design environments in the early 2000s and today leads the healthcare practice at NBBJ, named among the most innovative architecture firms in the world by Fast Company three times.

Throughout her career, she has led complex projects at top health-care institutions, including Massachusetts General Hospital, New York University Langone Health and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Saba has been named “Architect of the Year” by Healthcare Design, and lectured at events hosted by Stanford University, the Economist, the Cleveland Clinic, the Wall Street Journal, Vanderbilt University, the Digital Health Forum, and HIMSS.
