Frederick Toran is native to St. Louis and has been in Minneapolis for 15 years. His personal experience with homelessness has led him to become a passionate advocate for affordable housing and healthcare initiatives and a champion of local community-building efforts in the Twin Cities.
He is currently a caretaker and manager of a building for people experiencing homelessness in Northeast Minneapolis, a sponsor for adults in addiction recovery, and has been a key thought leader with the Envision Community project since 2016.
