Erika Rolland earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. In 2004, she began her nursing career at Mayo Clinic, initially within inpatient nursing before transitioning to the ambulatory care setting. Erika first worked as a medical nurse in an inpatient hospital unit until 2006, when she began a position in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
She spent 11 years of her nursing career in the NICU before working with the RN Telephone Triage line at Mayo Clinic for about a year. In 2018, Erika transitioned to Care Coordination within the Remote Monitoring practice, serving as a charge nurse and monitoring complex care patients in their home setting after recent hospitalizations or health challenges. In August, Erika accepted the interim nurse manager position for the Remote Monitoring program.
