Amy Wicks

Service Designer, Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation

Amy Wicks is a Service Designer at the Mayo Clinic Center for Innovation, where she works directly with patients and care team members to enhance the health care experience from both perspectives. By working with multidisciplinary teams to introduce human-centered design tools into the clinical space, she develops products and services for implementation in the practice.

In her role as a designer, Wicks combines creativity with problem-solving to create meaningful communication and innovative solutions. Some of her recent work has focused on supporting clerical burden using automation technology and a mobile platform, exploring ways to minimize the disruptiveness of technology during appointments, and improving care team coordination by visualizing patient and provider workflows in physical space.

Wicks has a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from the University of Cincinnati.
